Reasons why NBA players should get paid

Athletes should get paid to play in the NBA. Athletes work hard thoughout their lives to achieve their goal to be drafted into the NBA by their skill level, commitment, and team work. There’s a process for athletes to go through to get into the NBA, like the NBA Draft Combine . The combine is multiple showcases to see if your skill level is good enough. In the combine there are four drills: speed, vertical jump, agility, and shooting. While athletes are doing this they have to know that their “performance can affect statue, salary, and ultimately the players career”. Players need to have commitment and to show value to the sport. NBA players practice 60 to 90 hours a week. These basketball players don’t have time to do anything other than practice basketball because that’s what they choose their career to be. Basketball is required to have teamwork. Teamwork is important because working together can help with making better decisions and making communication better too. Basketball is a communication sport like saying pass the ball or I’m open. It also help with respecting each teammate. These are all great reasons on why athletes should get paid to play in the NBA.
